Demo version upgraded to i-Term v. 3.4.9

Some of the new functionalities in i-Term 3.4.9 which have been implemented since 3.4.0:

i-Term

  • Possibility to show subjects codes in drop-down boxes (Contact us for more info)
  • Layout change: colour scheme
  • Layout change: button rearrangements
  • Layout change: the quick search input field has been moved to the top of the left menu
  • Layout change: the action links have been replaced by button icons on the result list and article display page
  • Layout change: source terms and target terms have been emphasized
  • Instead of a pop up as a notification for saving an article, this message is displayed at the top of the page
  • The result list buttons have been grouped and supplied with a description
  • The number of characters displayed of the definition in the result list has been extended
  • No popup on iTerm login
  • Runs on PHP5 and MySQL 5
i-Model
  • Possibility to save diagram as image directly from the diagram list in i-Term
  • When adding a concept to i-Term via i-Model it is automatically added to the relevant diagram
  • iModel applet size/resize fix for all browsers FF3, IE6, 7, 8
  • Backup diagram automatically created when saving a diagram
  • When viewing both the features and definitions in i-Model a automatic line break is inserted as a separator
  • Keepalive system implemented to avoid session timeout

The demo version has been upgraded, and you can now experience nearly all the new features of version 3.4.0.
Here are some of the new features of i-Term v. 3.4.0:

i-Term

  • Creation of several company specific fields related to concept, term or article.
  • Opportunity to give basic read-only access to a limited part of the database without login.
  • Creation of a new diagram directly from i-Term.
  • Opportunity to define an expiration date for a user account.

i-Model

  • View sequence numbers of the concepts in the diagram.
  • View definition with tooltip functionality on the concepts.
  • Selection of definition display of all the concepts at the same time.
  • Selection of characteristic features display of all the concepts at the same time.
  • Print diagrams directly from i-Model.

i-Term and i-Model sold to The Danish National IT and Telecom Agency

Since 2006 DANTERMcentre is engaged in co-operation with The Danish National IT and Telecom Agency on development of OIO Architecture Classifikation and Taxonomies. The Agency has purchased DANTERMs software application I-Term as taxonomy tool.

Demo version upgraded to version 3.3 - new features
The demo version has been upgraded, and you can now access all the new features of version 3.3.0. User information and data remains the same. Here are some of the new features of i-Term v. 3.3.0:

i-Term

  • Reference layout and functionality improvements i.e. separate possibility to add URL-references.
  • Now the user can change interface language in the layout options.
  • New possibility for saving result overview, article display and concept system listing in an RTF-file
  • Improved XSL layout for xml export.
  • Changed layout when displaying concept system list.
  • Other general and interesting improvements to i-Term layout and functionality.

i-Model
Several general improvements of the i-Model layout and functionality e.g.:

  • New possibility of merging 2 concept systems.
  • Automatic user information and date on the saved GIF file.

Short seminar on concept modelling and electronic health record systems
On 7 December 2005, DANTERM and The Copenhagen Hospital Corporation (H:S) will present their collaboration in a terminology project determining the meaning of concepts within the healthcare sector in connexion with the development of an electronic health record system. i-Term sold to the Copenhagen Hospital Corporation (H:S)
The Copenhagen Hospital Corporation has chosen i-Term and i-Model for their work on determining the meaning of concepts within the healthcare sector in connection with the development of an electronic health record systems. Says Troels Thomsen, terminologist at H:S:
    ”The tool presents concept systems in a very pedagogical way, that makes it easy for people who are not familiar with concept modelling to understand this area.
